A blind is a type of window covering that is usually made of plastic, wood, or metal. It has several horizontal or vertical slats that you can move side to side or tilt open and close. You can operate it using a track system through remote control or manual operation.

This type of window treatment has different categories. This includes Roman blinds, Venetian blinds, Japanese blinds, pleated blinds, and vertical blinds.

Shades

Shades are like blinds. But instead of using slats, it uses a single piece of soft material such as cloth. It operates through stacking, folding, or rolling the soft material to open or close the shade.

This window covering has four different types. This includes Roman shades, tie-up shades, roller shades, and balloon shades.

Shutters

Another type of window treatment is the shutter. This window covering is usually installed in the frame of a window. It features horizontal slats made of wood or polyresin materials. These slats are either stationary or adjustable to allow or prevent air and light into a room.
